Our routine in the Casa Classroom:
Most of the children in the Casa environment attend all five days from 9.00 am -3.00 pm. They start the day with a 3 hour work cycle. The children come in from the garden and greet the Directress who is waiting for the children by the door.
Once in the classroom the children have a 3 hour work cycle or an uninterrupted work cycle. The children work inside and outside.
Lunch is served at 12.00 pm and this is a lovely time, as the children sit with an adult. In the background there is some light music playing and the children enjoy a relaxed lunch.
After lunch the children get ready for play in the garden.
The afternoon session is run in the same way as the Morning session.
The children are picked up at 3.00 pm. There are no after-school sessions provided.
The whole day is relaxed and the children will be following what their needs and interests are as they will be guided by the trained Montessori Directress.
